Holy crap…Mega Man 9 is coming!

The blog GoNintendo somehow came across an image that reveals Capcom is in the middle of working on Mega Man 9 for an unnamed console.

The image seems to hint that this will be a return to the classic gameplay the series did so well in the past, so some people suspect it will be a Wii or DS title. However, as they point out, Destructoid had posted a rumor about the same game coming to Xbox Live or the Playstation Network. All speculation at this point, so curb your blaster for now.

Capcom just posted an ad on their US blog referencing their 25th anniversary. If you could read Japanese, or these words here right in front of you, you would know that hidden at the bottom is the announcement that the Clock Tower film adaptation will be coming out in 2009 and the Onimusha movie will be released in 2011.

Broadband services and speeds are ranked higher than any other “new” service when it comes to their importance to consumers. New survey results from Pike & Fischer Broadband Advisory Services show that while HDTV and digital phone service were important to some consumers, high-speed data came out ahead of the rest. The report, titled “Communications Industry Survey: Views on the U.S. Economic and Regulatory Climate,” is being presented at the company’s Broadband Policy Summit IV taking place in Washington, DC this week.

Okay, you’ve all heard that Activision’s Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is going to be releasing a Coldplay track pack for download on Xbox Live Marketplace for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 system and in the Playstation3 PlaystationStore, right?

Well, Kotaku is reporting that the release date for said Cold-pack is June 19th, and that the three-pack of songs includes the single “Violet Hill” from their upcoming album Viva la Vida along with two of the band’s older tracks, “God Put a Smile Upon Your Face” form A Rush of Blood to the Head and “Yellow.”

Great news, eh?

Rock Band rockers are in for a treat next week: Avenged Sevenfold, Offspring and Crooked X tracks are coming!

Offspring are debuting their newest single–”Hammerhead”– on MTV’s music game where Avenged Sevenfold’s two tracks are from their newest, self-titled, album, and you might not have heard of Crooked X, but that’s because they’re new: The average age of the band is 13 years old. Their track only costs $.99.

Here’s the full track list:

Price: $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) per track for the Avenged Sevenfold and Offspring songs. Crooked X’s “Rock ‘n’ Roll Dream” will be $0.99 (80 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360)

Nintendo is suing third-party peripheral maker Nyko over their version of a Wii controller, the Kama Nunchuk.

According to Nintendo the Nyko product “wholly appropriates the novel shape, design, overall appearance and even the color and materials used in the Nintendo Nunchuk controller,”

“We have not knowingly violated anyone’s intellectual property and we’re still examining this,” Nyko spokesman C.C. Swiney said yesterday in a telephone interview with Bloomberg.com.

Following the release of the impressive May video game sales data, EEDAR analyst Jesse Divnich has weighed in with a few comments.
